Subject Matter: Educational Technology- Computers
Grade Level: K-2
Lesson Objective:
Learners will demonstrate knowledge of/understanding of/ability to:
· explore how to use a mouse.
· learn about some of the tools used to move around and between computer windows.
· complete a scavenger hunt about what they learn.
A computer is both an input and an output device. Some parts of the computer, such as the mouse and the keyboard, are used to put information into the computer. Other parts, such as the monitor and the speakers are used to get information from the computer. Computer users need to put in information correctly in order to get out the information they need. Learning how to use the mouse to input information by exploring the Mouserobics tutorial will help in understanding the function of the computer mouse, and how to navigate on a computer site.

Students will answer questions on the Mouserobics Scavenger Hunt by using the mouse correctly and filling in the answers to each question by navigating on the site. Group discussion and assesstment will be done after exercise is completed to allow time for students to understand how to navigate on site and use mouse properly.
